Standing in their way is Futashiro! During the battle, he speaks of his admiration for Kunishige, Chihiro's father and the developer of the cursed sword, and his belief that "the cursed sword exists to take the lives of others." The two yearn for the same humanity, yet they walk completely opposite paths. Faced with the utterly cruel Futashiro, Chihiro's murderous intent is ignited.
